What is Reflections?
Reflections is a PTA program that encourages the creativity and art education of students across the nation. The theme, "I Belong!”, was submitted by middler schooler, Ben Miller, from a PTSA in Idaho. His theme will inspire more than 30,000 students nationals to create an original works of art! Are you feeling inspired? Read below for how to participate!
How do I participate?
​Each Wolverine will be sent home a Reflections application in mid September. Then get started on creating your own piece of art! Return your original artwork along with the filled out application to Mrs. Salzman’s room (2310) or digitally to, winkleyprograms@gmail.com Additional forms can be found here.
There are 6 categories to enter and students may submit multiple entires for multiple categories. Group entries are not allowed. It is super important that each piece of art has a title! The specific rules for each category can be found by clicking on each category:

While Reflections is structured like a contest, it is actually an arts programs to inspire all creators! Each piece will be judged based on how well the student uses their artistic vision to portray the theme. Judges will use a scoring rubric with the following criteria: interpretation of the theme, artist merit/creativity, and mastery of medium. One piece from each category will advance onto the council level. Each student participant from Winkley will be celebrated at our membership meeting on February 24, 2026 at 6pm.

What dates are important?
- Winkley entries are due on October 29, 2025 - physical art can handed in to Mrs. Salzman
(Room 2310) and digital art can be emailed to winkleyprograms@gmail. Don’t forget to email your application along with digital art!
- Entries that advance onto the council level will be judged on November 20, 2025
- Entries that advance onto state level will be judged on January 15, 2026
- Entries that advance onto national level will be judged by March 1, 2026
